Comments on the course

Overall, this class was engaging and enjoyable because it focused on creative thinking, a topic that feels relevant and beneficial in both academic and real-world applications. The course content left a lasting impression, much like a delicious steak that satisfies and leaves you thinking about it long after the meal. The lessons were thoughtfully designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, making the class a truly enriching experience. It stood out compared to other 100-level courses because it felt meaningful and impactful.

Course Content

The course included a mix of quizzes, assignments, and hands-on activities, which made the learning process dynamic and engaging. The midterm interview, based on the class topic (which changes every semester), was a unique and practical way to apply what we had learned. This approach not only reinforced the course concepts but also allowed for real-world connections, which were incredibly useful. The variety of assessments ensured that students were consistently involved and challenged throughout the semester, keeping the material fresh and interesting.

It’s also helpful to know that grading is based on the rubric, and the professor grades fairly without being overly strict. Understanding how the grading works and where to find the rubrics makes it easier to meet expectations and succeed in the course. Knowing these things ahead of time would have...read more
