It's a difficult class because it's easy to get behind if you don't attend lectures and you don't keep up with the material, but if you keep up with the quizzes and study well you can definitely succeed. It's a class that heavily depends on how much effort you put in.

The content is definitely interesting and useful. I think anyone would take an interest in this course; it's a great elective but the course load is not light.

He's quite cold and never answers questions directly. However, he is passionate and he always tries to keep us entertained in class.

Take it with Gateman if you must; avoid if you can.

The content is interesting, but different from micro. Some like it more, some less.

I think Gateman is better at explaining micro is all I'll say on the matter.

*Sigh* Just hope for the best.

Overall, avoid Gateman if you can, if you have to take his course, just make sure you stay on top of your studying and learn from your mistakes.

The content is very interesting and useful, everyone should take Econ in uni.

He sometimes explains things very well, other times, not so much. He's very hit or miss. In this course, he was fine, but his exams are very challenging (thank god for the curve).

Stay on top of your quizzes, and try to study regularly rather than all at once. Also, attend all lectures (and seminars if you have questions, or want to go over the material weekly).

Completely asynchronous with weekly tutorial sessions led by TA's to go over e-text MyLab questions. The course serves as an introduction to macroeconomic variables and theories. Thus, the content is watered down and made easy to understand through simplifying assumptions. Though content is relatively easy, there is a lot to memorize and tie together.

For Gateman's asynchronous classes, watch video lectures in advance or at the very least on schedule. If for some reason his video lectures get confusing for certain topics, read the textbook. Even though lecture content mostly overlaps with textbook content, it is best to consolidate information from his lectures with information from the textbook as both items are examinable. On rare occasions, what is covered in the lecture will be missing from the text (and vice versa). I took it online and the exams were all multiple choice. I found the course really interesting. Though the recorded lectures were a bit boring sometimes. Gateman as a prof was great!!

Go to class and do all the practice questions and you'll be just fine!
