A pretty unique premise that was covered well and in a very informative manner. Provided a new perspective that I had never considered previously. A couple of times during the semester the content got a little repetitive and it was hard to stay awake, but most of the time I was pretty engaged.
The societal issues surrounding masculinity and how it relates to men and women. I think it was more useful in my personal life than anything, but its content is definitely applicable to more academic aspects.
He is a very experienced professor and researcher in the field. That being said, he does teach his own work a lot (especially towards the end of the semester) and doesn't take criticism that well as you'd expect or hope. Sometimes his teaching would be ironic considering him as a person. He is not very clear as to his expectations and doesn't take excuses ever. But, he does provide great feedback if you can read his handwriting.

The course is attendance-heavy. He does random attendance days which wasn't an issue for me. There are 3 (I think) required readings, and 2 written essays including a group project that should be due sometime before thanksgiving break. HIs exams are extremely lecture specific including questions on specific things he shows/says in class.
