Overall, while it's pretty easy to maintain an A in this class if you just go over the homework questions prior to the exam, I am moderately disappointed with the class overall. Most of this is just due to environmental factors (large class size, many disruptions during lectures, etc.) and is not a reflection of the professor's teaching capabilities. The exams are literally just the homework questions so your grade is more indicative of your memorization skills rather than your understanding of macroeconomics. If you're taking this class to garner a better understanding of macroeconomics, make sure you go over the slides and textbook readings prior to the lecture. Class content includes the foundations of macroeconomic theories, concepts, models, and formulas. (GDP, business cycles, inflation rate, etc.) Super useful and relevant information that you will definitely apply to your life outside of the classroom.
The professor is very quiet and it's hard to hear him in a huge lecture hall. He's extremely patient with the class considering the sheer amount of tomfoolery that happens during our lectures. Due to the nature of the class, if you do have a question for him, he won't really take the time to answer in depth because he wants to move through the course material in a timely manner. However, he is great at explaining tough macroeconomic concepts. If you pay close attention to the lectures and sit towards the front of the hall, you will benefit from his thorough explanations.
That the exams are literally just the homework questions.
