Comments on the course

Attendance wasn't mandatory, but in order to do well, you'll have to attend class. There are handwritten notes that she doesn't publish online so the only way to get them is by coming to class and writing them down on your own. There are 3 exams, and also a final exam. There are many slides to study per exam, but if you give yourself enough time, you'll be able to study enough and score well. There are also about 10 quizzes throughout the semester, and those usually occur weekly.

Course Content

Detailed physiology of each organ system. Discussed the anatomy of all organ systems but mostly focused on physiology since the Lab portion was the anatomy focus

Dr. Turchyn is a very nice professor, and although the class is tough, people should realize that she can't control that. Anatomy will be a tough class, regardless of who teaches it. She makes herself very accessible outside of class by holding office hours twice a week, staying after class to answer questions, and also being quick to respond to emails or questions asked on canvas discussions.
